See what shoppers do before you test.
Store-wide traffic, funnels, click and scroll heatmaps and session replays, linked to your experiments.
The whole store on one page
Traffic, orders, revenue and gross profit against the previous period, a shopping funnel that counts each checkout once, top pages, traffic sources, devices and countries, and a live view of who's on the store right now.
- On Shopify, product views, add to cart and checkout steps come from Shopify's web pixel, including checkout pages your theme can't see.
- Orders come from Shopify's order webhooks, with refunds taken off.
Heatmaps that compare versions
Clicks, scroll depth and section reach, per page and per variant, so you see why one version sells more.
Click heatmaps
Where visitors click and tap, the most-clicked elements, and rage and dead clicks.
Scroll and sections
How far visitors get and which sections they reach, for control and variant side by side.
By device and visitor
Phone, tablet or desktop, new or returning, and a date range.
Session replay with the private parts left out
Watch the sessions behind a signal, such as repeated clicks on a size picker, filtered by device, experiment and signal. Recordings start only with the visitor's consent, and typed values and checkout pages are masked.
- Off until an admin turns it on, with a sample rate you choose.
- Recordings link to the experiment and variant the visitor saw.

Good to know
- Heatmaps and session replay are off for every site until an admin turns them on; while they're off, the collector isn't loaded at all.
- Account, checkout and order pages are excluded by default.
- Preview, QA and bot traffic is never recorded.
- Segment results inside a test are exploratory: a lead for the next test, not a result.
Questions
Does behavior collection respect consent?
Yes. On Shopify it follows Shopify's Customer Privacy API, the same signal the test script uses; elsewhere it follows your site's consent setting. When consent is withdrawn, anything queued is dropped.
Can I compare heatmaps between variants?
Yes. Click and scroll views show the control and a variant side by side for the same page, device and dates.
Do I need another analytics tool?
Benchmyrk covers store traffic, funnels and behavior for testing. If you use Google Analytics 4, Benchmyrk can also send experiment exposures there.
Find the next test in your own data.
We'll go through analytics, heatmaps and replay on demo data. Or install the Shopify app and switch them on for your store.
