Split URL test
A test that sends part of the traffic to a different URL, such as a redesigned landing page, and compares the outcomes.
Also called redirect test
In a split URL test, the variant is a whole different page at its own address. Visitors assigned to it are redirected there. It suits redesigns and pages built in a different tool, where editing the original page isn't practical.
The redirect adds a step for variant visitors, so check the traffic split closely: slow redirects lose visitors from one side.
Half of the visitors to /collections/running go to a new page built at /pages/running-v2.
