Template test
A Shopify test that sends part of the traffic to an alternate page template, to compare a new layout without editing the live theme.
Shopify themes can have several templates for the same page type. A template test shows an alternate template to one group of shoppers and the current one to the rest.
It suits layout changes that are easier to build as a template than as edits on the page.
Half of the visitors to product pages see a new template with the reviews above the description.
